We are delighted to be returning to Hawaii in May 2018. This time, join us on the Island of Kaua’i, known as ‘The Garden Island’ for 9 relaxing days in paradise playing 6 rounds of championship golf in a team’s tournament – The 2018 Hawaii Kaua’i Golf Classic. Throw in evenings sipping cocktails, swimming in hidden beaches, watching sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and getting back to nature in the lush mountains and you have the perfect ingredients for a great holiday.

For travel plans, we arrive on the Island of Kaua’i via Honolulu on Sunday 6 May 2018 and depart back to Honolulu on Tuesday 15 May 2018.

Tournament dates are Monday 7 May 2018 to Monday 14 May 2018.

Full tournament packages include group airport and golf transfers, flights, luxury accommodation in ocean view rooms, six rounds of golf in carts, Welcome Champagne Breakfast and Farewell Prize Giving Dinner.

Extra golf and accommodation packages either, pre and post the tournament including Honolulu, Maui or the Big Island are available.

The 2018 Hawaii Kaua’i Golf Classic will include daily fun competition scoring in addition to an overall team’s event – make up your own teams of four – or PaR nz Golfing Holidays will match you up!

We golf our 6 rounds in carts

  • Ocean Course at Hokuala designed by the one and only Jack Nicklaus (2 rounds while staying at the 4.5 star Marriott Resort)
  • Puakea Golf Club at the base of Mount Haupu
  • Poipu Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr
  • Princeville Makai Golf Club – a Robert Jones Jnr renovation in 2009 (2 rounds while  staying at the 5 star St Regis Princeville Resort)

Register online and pay your NZ $1,000 deposit to secure a place on our tour. We are limited to 40 golfers or 10 teams. Non-golfer partners are also welcome. We will send you a confirmation and receipt in the equivalent USD$ amount which the tour is costed in. The balance with any added extra stays in Honolulu or Maui or The Big Island is due 1st March 2018.

Our 2018 Hawaii Kaua’i Golf Classic will be run similar to our long-standing Villa Teams Challenge tournament in Fiji. In all, it’s a competitive but fun week of golf where depending on how well you play, your handicap will change daily according to our PaR nz Points System. All will be explained at the Welcome Champagne Breakfast.

All handicaps for the tournament week will be based on your current club handicaps and then frozen. This list will be displayed on the tournament scoreboard. For those players that clubs/country uses the USGA slope system, your ‘starting’ playing handicap for the week will be calculated off a course rated at a slope of 127.  Maximum ‘start’ playing handicaps for men is 30 and 36 for women.

Daily team prizes will be awarded along with an overall prize after 6 rounds. For each team 3 of the 4 best scores will count each day and added cumulatively.
